Cardiac Imaging Workshop
Visit the Cardiac Imaging website for more information.
The University of Florida Department of Radiology along with the Division of Cardiology offer a unique opportunity to train in the newest methods of cardiac imaging using CT and MRI. Cardiac CTA scans are acquired on a Toshiba Aquilion 64 slice unit, and cardiac MR studies on a Siemens 1.5 tesla Sonata unit. Images are processed on Vital Images workstations in a cardiac / image processing lab.
The training program is offered in weekly blocks, (which are available for one week up to one month). Each weekly block contains five days of training and activities on site in our Image Processing Center. Post program continuing home study is managed through our education site.
The length of training and content of curriculum may be altered due to the trainees needs or goals.
CME
- 40 hours CME is offered for the one week course.
- 10 additional CME is offered through the post program home study.
Training will include hands on training with instruction on dedicated workstations. The course curriculum includes observations of MR and CT cardiac studies, lectures, learning modules, text books, articles, as well as other materials that will aid the participant as they become proficient in diagnosing and interpreting cardiac studies. The cases in our teaching library represent a wide variety of cardiac indications and findings.
Participants will attend daily read-out sessions with our cardiac team.
Program Learning Modules include:
- Physics
