Mammography

UF Radiology Mammography is mainly performed at the Park Avenue Imaging Center. This division is part of the body imaging division, sharing faculty. The division uses conventional mammography units, ultrasound units, and a digital breast biopsy table. Breast MRIs are performed in one of the MRI units in Shands radiology. Needle localizations are performed at the main hospital for surgical breast biopsies.

This year the department plans to move forward with plans for digital mammography and a dedicated mammography reporting / tracking system.
